car ran fine yesterday...I go out to move it into the garage and it starts running rough, dumping fuel out the exhaust...scanmaster shows error code 34, which I believe is MAF related. This is the 2nd MAF my car has eaten in a year. Could it be my translator instead? How does one go about testing a MAF?

Hi,
Unless you have a graphing multimeter or similar equipment, your options are limited in regards to diagnostics. You can check power and ground to the sensor, but it is probably the unit itself at fault. Those rebuilt units come with a 90 day warranty usually. That should tell you something! Good luck with your trouble.

I had one car a few years ago that had weak connector terminals in the vehicle's MAF plug. Caused a lot of grief until we found it. Aside from MAFs going bad, look for loose, corroded, or otherwise funky connections. With the engine idling, shake the wiring connections and see if you can locate a problem.

Of course it could be 2 bad MAFs......
