Are 26 x 10 x 15 ET Drags to big for stock 86 GN rims?

Scott

I ran a 26x10.5x15 MT street ETs on a stock TType rim no problems on mine. No rubbing plus it look fine.

The reason i asked about that size is i found a good deal on a barely used set. Otherwise i would get the 9"wide ones.
Thanks guys.

Go ahead and get them they will work if you geta good deal on them.

i had 26x8.5 e/t drags on my stock gn rims and i had plenty of room left over...smaller than my street tires! (265/50/16's)

i am upgrading to 28x9 e/t drags...

Remember ET drags and ET street are not measured the same way! I believe the Streets are measured by section width and the Drags are by tread width. Meaning a 28X9 ET drag is the equivalent of a 28X11.5 ET street

The street ETs are not a true 10.5 they are 10inch.

My point is that if IrvJr thinks he can run a 10" ET drag on a stock rim because someone says " I run a 10.5" ET street on a stock rim no problem", he WILL have a problem. Just wanted to point out the difference.:D

So has anyone run, or know anyone who has run a 10" ET Drag on a stock 7" rim?

Scott

IT's not a clearance issue. It has to do with whether or not the 10" ET Drags are too wide for he stock 7" rim.
Yes they will fit in the wheel well (maybe),

Yes they are far too wide for that little 7" wide rim. Oh they'll fit, but the contact patch will be badly distorted because they're just too wide.
