On a high powered application that has 9 sec or faster power there is e.t. to be gained with the taller first gear in the 350. If you dont have 9 sec power the gain would be small or it coul dbe a loss if you dont have the car dialed in for harder launches
We switched in the mid 90's 94 0R 95? to a turbo 350 and did not notice a gain in ET? WE also DID NOT break trannies like everyone else since no one could build them RIGHT back then. This was on a 10.50 car at 126 mph. We probably would have been the first stock block in the 9's but life and family's got in the way:biggrin:
