from my understanding, the ballbearing will allow you to tighten the converter but the bb does not increase the overall power the wheel is capable of making.non-ballbearing looser converter,bb tighter converter, hope this helps.
I can see where it could possibly hurt a already traction limited car since teh turbo will make power sooner and may hurt 60' thus slowing the ET. That being said maybe not if the same journal turbo already on the car is able to spool and launch with no lag then gain will be very small and not worth it IMO.
Im talking track tho. But, on the street just hitting it the BB will spool quicker
esm,it really is a judgement call on the bb i don't think it is a track only application, actually i feel the opposite on the street i prefer a tighter converter and a quick spooling turbo.if i had a track only car i wouldn't care just have the converter where it needs to be.if the 66 is on special for $845 with bb you should get off the computer and get one
I wish the bb was $845 -- the journal is $845 but im not concerned about quicker spooling on the street --- i just cruise it around -- thanks for the honest input

Well 845.00 is a nice price on that turbo but if your using it in the street I would make sure you have the right matched converter or you will be unhappy with alll the Lagggg.
