What is the Devildriver video that has been getting played on the Headbanger's Ball? Whatever that is, I've seen it and it sounded real good.

I Could Care Less, is the name of the video. Did you see the new slipknot video called Duality? sounds pretty good. I missed that tour, It came within ten miles of me but I found out the day after the show. I was upset. I saw fear factory at their last show three years ago when Dino was still part of the band.

I Could Care Less...yeah, that's it!

Yep, waited 'till the last video of the night like they always do, but I saw the new 'Knot video.......I'm not sure how I feel about it. I mean, it was good but not what I was expecting.

I've been a FF fan for 12 years. I've seen them in Illinois, Maine, twice in Colorado...and tomorrow: Arizona. Burt Bell drew the first logo on my arm at a show in Denver on the Demanufacture tour and I got it inked the next morning........so, I've even seen them with Andrew Shives!

....but I've never seen Slipknot....this is gonna f***ing slam!

I saw Slipknot a couple ozzfest's ago, it was an amazing show, half the stage was on fire, they are nuts

PS I also like some non "evil" music not mentioned here.

Race Jace,
YOU CAN NEVER BE TO OLD TO ROCK OUT

I saw Manson years back and there was a older woman with a stroller walking into the concert, i almost broke down in tears.:( DCEPTCN is the man. I am too young to listen to older rock and appreciate it.
The thing that really makes me worry about getting older is what will i listen to when i have mini-me's running around the house. If i marry a woman who doesnt rock out, DCEPTCN i give you permission to wipe the walls with me:eek: ;) .

DCEPTCN, MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN THE PIT LATE INTO THE SLIPKNOT SET, YOU WILL THANK ME LATER:p

About the Jagermeister show...

Okay, so, 4 am on Friday I was up and by 5 am I was on the interstate leaving my home about 45 miles east of Albuquerque. I was having a great road-trip until, in the mountains around Heber/Payson, AZ the roads were all construction areas.....you try heading down a mountain pass and only doing the posted 35! I got to Mesa, AZ at around noon and checked into the Best Western Mezona Inn (90 f-ing dollars!) and as I get out of my car, a cleaning lady yells to me, 'Joo gotta flat tire!'. Long story short, I'm later across the street at this auto place having them remove a screw from a new tire. Afterwards, I go to the amphitheatre to get in line way early so that I can be right up against the barricade. 4 HOURS IN THE 176 DEGREE HEAT BEFORE THE DOORS EVEN OPENED!! Most of the show, the crowd was chanting 'Water, water, water' more than anything........I was really surprised at what a good show Chimaira put on! DevilDriver had cancelled, so Hemlock opened and I thought they really sucked. I hate to have to admit it but (As Blwn87 had told me earlier) my fave band in the world, Fear Factory, put on kind of a dry show. I have to note that Slipknot kind of dissappointed as well because half the crap said and done was verbatim/exactly like the Disasterpieces DVD. I was surprised to see that 'Lizard Man' introduced all of the bands, that guy is nuts. Long story short.....even after hundreds of dollars, severe dehydration and the sneaking hunch that I might be starting to get a little old for this, I'm still VERY happy to have gone.

My wife couldn't care less for my music, and I actually like it that way! It remains one of the only things that isn't 'ours'. It's kinda nice to have something that you can do alone.....I'm not really sure how I would have felt if the wife wanted to go to this show, I probably would have been dissappointed. As for the pit, Slipknot did the whole thing where everybody got down on the ground and 'jump(ed) the f*** up' at the climax of 'Spit It Out', which was really cool to see in person, but kinda lame 'cause I've seen it 7 hundred times on the DVD. On the other hand, Hemlock did the Braveheart thing where they had everybody take sides, leaving the middle of the place empty and, when the pit riff kicked in, everyone charged eachother in an insane battle scene that got ALOT of people trampled. Where else in life can you beat the snot out of everyone else at random and not only avoid jail, but get praised by your favorite musicians?

Wow, a lot of guys diggin the heavy stuff here.

I used to be a classic rock nut (hendrix, clapton, etc.), but these days i'm into more chill stuff - like jazz/funk and some newer folk/singer-songwriter type stuff. In my CD player now:

keziah jones, black orpheus
steely dan, royal scam
jack johnson, on and on
iron and wine
kaki king
me (some latest mixes I'm working on for my new album. you can hear some of my stuff in mp3 format at www.pinkhumpy.com)

Wow, very thoughtful/daydreamy kinda stuff....I like it. Even though I'm a die-hard metal fan and have been so most of my life, when it's just me and the Fostex I do tend to get tame. I wish I could post some music up here, but I'm as much of a computer whiz as I am an astronaut.

I recommend that anyone who wants to hear some really somber and thoughtful music check out Buckethead's albums 'Colma' and 'Electric Tears'. He is a guy that can shred like nobody I've ever heard, but takes time every now and then to write some incredibly inspiring stuff.

Question for you youngsters. Why is a GTR solo in a tune tabu now days?

I here the excuse its "masterbating"

Well, I picked up the GTR cause Alice Coopers Billion Dollar Babies had such cool GTR!
No offence, cause music is a very personal thing, but it seems a lot of the newer "rock" bands have pretty lame players, 3 chord stuff.?.?

I agree 100%, the good news is that the trend is currently (but slowly) turning back to the occasional solo.......keep your ears trained in the near future!

If I hear ANYMORE DEAD[Led]Zepplin I think I might kill my radio. Its over...done...goodbuy...played a billion times, and I HATE it,.......same with AC/DC,The Doors[always hated them]Stones,. Anyway,as you can tell I really dont like classic rock....blame it on the overplayed Cleveland garbage radio stations, who kept shoving that crap down our throates. Now I listen to college radio,at least the stuff is new and diffrent, and NOT played a billion times

ZEPPELIN IS NOT CLASSIC ROCK! ZEPPELIN is hard rock/heavy metal. leave the classic rock to the birds and eagles and chicago the crappy ***** bands.

Music sucks nowaday, i am only 19 and I can play teh guitar better than most musicians out there.
