there is nothing pushing forward on a flywheel untill you push the clutch in

the converter laying flat against the flex plate is a bad situation


to the other guy above the thrust bearing is not the same as any other bearing

all other bearings are pressure feed the thrust bearing is not .. yes the oil from that main has to drain across it but once you put forward pressure on the crank so the crank surface is now flush against the rear side of the thrust it has then opened all the thrust clearence to the front side only so do you think the oil will drain out the side with the gap or the side being pressed flat together ??
 
oh and the one area of you main wore is most likely the main bore out of round

get a stock cap block to fix that problem
