Just bought a ta-49 and want to install it soon, any suggestions on how to make the swap, also what parts/lines should I replace. Another thing should I reuse the stock exhaust housing or replace it with something different, Suggestions??? and advice appreciated. the exhaust system is a 2-1/2 to the back but still have the stock downpipe want to replace it soon. Thanks see you all at the nats this may.. Jamie

The stock exhaust housing would need to be machined to fit on a TA-49.

What you mean is the stock elbow.

The stock Elbow may or may not work onyour TA49, depending on the wastegate hole size. If the wastegate hole has been enlarged, you will need an elbow with a larger puck (or aftermarket Downpipe) inorder to build boost, because the stock puck won't cover an enlarged hole.

It's a good idea to use a new brass 90 deg angle for the oil inlet. If your turbo doesn't have one of these, the autoparts store should.
