After removing passenger side header & downpipe I found what appears to be a gasket leak on the back pipe and a crack along the collector. What gaskets and bolts do you guys use ? The bolts with 9/16 heads were a PAIN to remove and I don't want to take this apart again anytime soon. Also has anyone ceramic coated any of their exhaust ? Does it help or just for looks?

Thanks Sam

i have stock headers and dont use any gaskets. as long as the mating face is flat it shouldnt leak...now my crossover pipe is different but i put some hi temp red rtv on both mating surfaces now my o2s are great around 750ish...i chose not to use any gaskets cause i heard that they blow out from the pressure... and ceramic coating is for keeping the heat down in the engine bay ceramic absorbs heat and also dissapates it so your headers wont glow orange and suffer from heat fractures and what not...

Anyone else on bolts & gaskets ? Copper or aluminum gaskets, ARP or Stage 8 locking bolts?

Percy's aluminum seal for good. Won't use anything else. Not cheap, but won't blow out and will seal irregular surfaces. Reuseable too.

Collector Gaskets
Percy's "SEAL-4-GOOD" Collector gaskets are referred to as the "best on the market" by many users. Percy's "DEAD SOFT" aluminum seals far better than competitive copper gaskets. Available in 2 1/2", 3", and 3 1/2". Get yours today and forget about leaking collector flanges!

Header Gaskets
Percy's Reusable Flange Gaskets are multi-layered and made of a special "DEAD SOFT" aluminum, which conforms to header flanges for an ultimate seal. Because the SEAL-4-GOOD is a solid metal gasket, it will not blow-out nor will it burn-out. The "SEAL-4-GOOD" header gaskets are now available for most popular applications.

Anyone use Percy's locking header bolts ?
