Exhaust Question

When does running 2 1/2 " exhaust really start to hurt your 1/4 mile times? I like the 2 1/2" sound, it is alot more stealthy that the large exhaust it seems but I am thinking it may hurt me at the track. My setup should be well within the mid 10's just curious about other's expereince and if they went bigger how do you keep the noise down (and drone).

just get a dump pipe and uncap it. i always went faster with it off when i was in the 11's, so i guess there's some restriction. i have the hooker cat back system. don't remember if it's 2 1/4 or 2 1/2??

Thanks trbojo I had a Hooker Super Comp 2 1/2 but it rusted out. In the final assembly stages of my build, was thinking about going with the Pypes stainless kit but just not sure yet. Alot cheaper than going to 3" too.
