I have used starting fluid sprayed on all vac lines and waited for the change in rpm. Another trick is to hook up a shop vac on blow to the exhaust pipe. Spray soapy water everywhere and llok for the bubbles. Brad

If you are looking for exhaust leaks DO NOT use starter fluid.

I would get some seafoam or top engine cleaner and with the engine running put some in the front intake port. This is ideal because it is after the turbo. The car will smoke like crazy and you will be able to see if you have any header or crossover leaks.

Are u referring to the port where some of us use for a boost gauge? What do u mean put some in front? Like spray it in there?

That is correct. At idle there is vacuum there so it will suck in the seafoam or whatever you use to make the car smoke. After it starts smoking you will see the smoke come out of any exhaust leaks that you may have.

Oh ok interesting I will try that so let me ask ... I will have to keep it closed with the small bolt that goes there after I spray into it right and just wait for it to smoke ?

Once the engine takes in a little bit of Seafoam its going to smoke pretty quickly.

You should be able to keep the car running with out that plug. It will just idle higher.
