my current set up is a muffler tech 3 inch exhaust and stock cracked headers going to get headers fixed for now to get true the season trying to decide my next step
my exhaust sounds great but tail pipes arent perfectly eaven and exhaust hits the upper control arms and one muffler is lower then the other
my choices are either tubular upper arms in the rear to make up for clearances or

do a full hooker se up ei the exhaust and the super comp headers whats you guys opinion i really love the sound of the 3 inch i have right now and id like to keep the sound is it worth going with another system of just spend the winter fixing my current one

If you are talking the hooker super comp headers, they are not worth the effort. They will cause you more problems than they will fix. I know that good headers are expensive but save your nickels and dimes. You may also contact the GSCA I beleieve they may still have the TB headers that are more of a stock replacement that were a good value and seemed to be good quality.

The hoooker exhaust I like and I personally like the sound of it. It fits great and will not give you any issues for installation.

Why do you need upper control arms? Anything rubbing? There's some vendors on here selling real nice headers/exhaust. Made in the USA too.

the header issue is sorted bryan gave me a deal on some excelent condition stock headers used but good shape
theres noting wrong with my exhaust ei sound or performance
the over axel pipe when they got welded to the mufflers no they hit the upper rear control arms just barely so im thinking tubular uppers will solve the issue
other then that the exhaust is asome and i have to much money tight up into it to be able to justifie pulling and replacing
wose case senario four 200 bucks my budy at local speed shop said he would straight out the rear half of the exhaust ei make mufflers level tail pipe come out even on both side and not hitting upper rear arms

I would look into that exhaust fix, that rattle can cause the ECM to think it is knock.

Good to hear about the stock manifolds, they are hard to beat and work very well. Brian is great to deal with too.

FYI I prefer the hrpartsnstuff control arms, check them out you will not be disappointed in them.

price wise the umi non adjustable are only 170 with bushings and bolts from brian
and the umi are much much smaller which will give me much more clearance
