I'm going to pose this to the experts:

I just got a TE-44 from John Craig, THDP, SMC Alky kit, and a CAS V4. YOu guys can see the rest in my sig. John said I may benefit from going to a 2800 stall. Do you think that I should go to a 12" convertor like an orange stripe, do I need to do a 9/11 or do I even need to do anything at all? I'm trying to get a solid street/strip car that runs low 12's and dip into the 11's.

If I were in your shoes, I would put the money into some good tires instead of a new converter. With alky /TE44 etc, you will be in the high 11's with a little traction.
 
not an orange stripe...dont know what they advertise them at but all the cars ive been in with a orange strip didnt stall much at all

the 12" converters Bruce has do work good (had one before my 9-11) and would do you good but you cant go wrong with a 9-11 long as its a real one not a phony

stock converter will do but I mad afew of them start making noise on me after doing some high boost runs back when I had the ta-49 on my car

not a pro but personel experience ;)
 
Thanks you guys, I will probably buy a real strong set of slicks anyway. Sounds like if I were to go up to a bigger stall i would be better off going to a 9/11 what do you think?
 
my combo is similar to yours and I asked myself the same thing? do I really need a converter after going to a 44. went with Bruce's 9-11 @ 2800 and wondered why I hadn't done it sooner. the car is much more responsive on the street, was a good investment for me.....

Same here. Should have gotten it sooner too. Much more fun to drive now.:D And almost 1sec. faster at the tracks.:D :D
