If you don’t play with this stuff all the time, you forget. Going through the manual, I get lost trying to quickly locate what’s needed . So I created s Quick Reference sheet (Cheat Sheet) that can be printed, folded in halve (Both sides will have info), laminate it, and easily store in the glove box or center console. Hope this helps someone.

(Yeah I know I am way behind the times, but this still works for what I am doing. :happy: )

Trying to make some adjustments today on the Extender in the 84HA with 86/87 ECM;
Option 9 - DFCO/Cruise CC
Lights On (Calpak out)
AC = On
Shift = Park

Car has AC and P/N switch which work fine. Parking lights work fine.
I can access parameters 12, 13, 15, but for some reason, unable to access 8-11.
Almost appears that the ECM is not seeing the "lights on".

With the ECM not seeing the light, does it effect performance?
Does the Calpac need to be removed?

Jerryl,
Do you have the parking lights connected to the ECM? This is not connected from the factory. You would have to connect it (see chip instructions). If not, then you can unplug the calpak for the same effect, instead of adding that wire.
Regards,
Eric

Wow, thanks Eric! :cool:
Did not know/realize that.
Will look for instructions. . . . . .

Edit:
It is CLEARLY stated to connect the wire to D11 :(
Not sure is the connector came with the chip. No biggie as I have a few. . . . .

File updated!

It would be worth noting that moving the WOT Spool Fuel can fix an off idle stumble. The official Extender instructions don't mention this.

True, and thanks. Wanted to change TC lock-up mph to 55.
