Not wanting to risk using the stock oil cooler after my thrust and rod bearing failures, I need to go external.

How big should the external cooler be? Any manufacturer and/or part number recommendations?

Thanks,
Jim

I just ordered a perma cool with the 10" fan for mine. Had similar problems with my rods. I got the smallest one which is 8" x 11" I think. Bought it from Summit.

If you do get this and wire it so the fan is on all the time, get an oil cooler thermostat. It is about 40 bucks but will help keep the oil at proper temp. I posted a while ago about that so try a search on oil cooler thermostats.
