External waste gate location options

So I have a GN1 down pipe with the external waste gate provision, I also just purchased a HPT 6262 which also has a waste gate provision. Is one location better than the other or does it even matter ?

Cool thanks. So I’ll need the plate that blocks off the wast gate hole in the down pipe correct , who sells that ?
