major performance gains ? none ....louder ....not at all...it's all about boost control factory waste gate actuator may have problems controling boost over 20 PSI , HD actuator will do fine over 20 PSI but you will have problem to go back to low boost settings with it since the spring needs 17psi or so to work right .....external waste gate takes care of all of it , solid boost control from 10 PSI to .......whatever . this is as simple as I can answer this but hope it helps BOOST CONTROL AND RANGE OF IT !
