does anyone know how to diable teh factory alarms on 86 grand nationals? it goes off by itself all the time and is pissing me off. please help

Most people don't talk about factory alarm systems here to keep it out of the wrong hands. A search might dig up some helpful info.

Just my .02 on alarm systems.

Look for the fan delay relay kicking in intermittantly and a low battery condition if it goes off at various times once set.

The only way to disable the alarm is to use the correct key in the door. If it goes off by itself, then don't arm it until it is fixed by a competant dealer. (if there is such a thing) Do what I do to prevent theft:

1. Steadfast collar for the column.
2. Club
3. Factory alarm
4. Aftermarket alarm
5. Take ECM with you
6. Watch over the car with a .50 Cal. Desert Eagle

i have a glock 23, sig 2350, and a P95 to watch over the car along with my pit bull. is the only way to have it disconnected through a dealer? i hate dealers. icalld a buick deealer in Arizona and ask hem for a part and the guy in teh parts department asked me what a grand national was. how is that for a compitent dealer.

If you don't want the alarm to activate, don't set it using the door switch. Push the lock down manually and the alarm will not be activated.
