Cleaning up after the minor electrical fire in the fan relay system....
I've replaced both relay and socket for the high and low fans. On the fan delay relay connections, I saw the same tar from the overheated grease, but no heat damage to the plastic relay housing. After cleaning the spades with lighter fluid, the relay itself looks pretty good.
Is there a reason I can't eliminate the two factory connectors and go into the bottom of the relay with six 1/4" female terminals?
Thanks.
