Well, I made some headway today. my dad is welding my drivers side header, the passenger side header didn't have any cracks, but the crossover tube bolt did break of in it:mad: grr. that was a pain to get out. should be running again tonight.

I also checked my converter. it says 6B on it all to way around. is this the right converter? Thanks guys
I thought it was supposed to say d5.

should be a D5 in there! is ur trans. a reman.? brf valve body?
 
not sure if the tranny is a reman, but the converter looks pretty fresh.

there should be a tag near the output of the trans. riveted on, it should have the valve body id tag or whatever its called on it. like BRF or CRF, and many more just dont know them! that would help u know if its the original or atleast turbo buick trans i believe if its a 86/87 buick.
