I’m looking to upgrading to a duel fan setup. I went to the Spal website to take a look at fans. My radiator core is 27” X 18”. Therefore, I can fit two 12” diameter fans. There are several different fan models. Within these models it seems that there is a correlation between current input (amps) and airflow (cfm). The model that I’m looking at is P/N 30100176.

My question, is the amps that I can supply a factor of what alternator I have? If it is, is the stock alternator going to be adequate or should I look into upgrading that as well?
On a slightly different note………..has any one who has a front mount intercooler ever thought of pushing the radiator in towards the engine (since there is now room having moved the intercooler to outside the radiator) and putting a fan between the intercooler and the radiator? I was thinking about having two fans on the radiator and one fan between the intercooler and the radiator. It was just an idea, maybe a little crazy, but was thinking about it none the less.
