fast 2-3 shift

hey guys- i just got my car back from the trans shop- everything was a mess. they finally got it together- then it wouldnt downshift- the valve body was stuck- but befor that he tried adjusting the kickdown cable. now my 2-3 shift is really fast and it up and down shifts alot when its not needed- do i just need to readjust the cable- thanks!

When you say a fast shift from first to second how fast do you mean? When I first got my car back from the "experts" at Aamco it would shift from first to second at about 15 mph then shift to third about a half second after shifting into second. The tranny builder called this a stacked shift. He tried to get it out but couldn't so he ended up putting another valve body in. The one he put in wasn't a GN valve body though. I will send my GN valve body out to have it checked out as soon as possible.

its been a week or 2 and now its starting to shift better- i guess its just a soft shift- it feels like im driving a little civic when it shifts from 2-3 but 1-2 is a firm good shift
