I have my timing set at 30 deg at idle. I am wondering if this is normal or should it be more. If I move it up to 34 the car starts to idle rough. This is an 86 gn with a Weber 109 stroker.

If you have large injectors and want to stay out of a dead band and increase the PW you can retard the timing at idle to help out, making the more waste more fuel. though and more heat in the headers, Ive gone as low as 22 degrees, but 24-28 is about right the stock chip is about 25

Thank you. I have 83lb injectors and 30 deg seems to be the max I can go. I am going to leave it ther for now.
