Booo, i just missed the cutoff and the track is closed for the year... guess ill hafta feed er another degree of timing and trim a few lbs in the spring haha. I do like having a goal to shoot for though, good idea
Went to Cecil County Dragway in my GN yesterday for a private rental. Havent done much to the GN in anyway this year. But I put fresh gas in it and topped off the methanol tank and checked the fuel pressure.
Had no idea where the boost was on the first pass. Didnt hit it hard because I wasnt sure what the track or my beat tires would take.
I was rewarded with this...
Boost was at 28psi through the Hooker exhaust. It didnt spin, I just didnt hit it as hard as I shouldve. Tune wasnt anywhere near where it should have been. It was cold yesterday, 38° outside. Good DA too. I saw some knock, and I paid for it later in the day in spectacular fashion LOL. Let's just say I didnt drive my GN home.
I'll tear it apart over the winter and fix it next year.
Well my car run 10.40 at 131 with a 66 turbo all year, Changed to a 6870 and last race of the year run in the fastest street cars run the 10.50 class, Not the best air and first test was a 10.44 at 136, Didn't come off the line with enough boost, First race was way ahead so let off at the 1,000 ft and run and broke out run or coasted to a 10.32 at 114, 6.20 at 109 1/8 so don't know what it would have run but it was really pulling hard
