Fastest with stock IC with big neck

I am looking to upgrade my intercooler. I am curios how far a stock IC with a Big neck on it will take me, whats the fastest someone's gone with one with a stock cam/heads/block..... or should i just save my money and get a stretch IC.

I've seen 11.69 @ 117 with a stock (ported) neck intercooler. This was done on a stock heads/cam/block car. I think it really depends on what shape your stocker is in. If it doesn't leak I would keep it around for a little while.

Alot of guys say that the stock ic is good until 11.50's. Unless you have extra cash just layin' around or you come across a deal to good to pass up I would just wait.

Id bet low 11's with the bigger neck.. no problem..

I went 11.53@118 with a big neck and a TA49, 36# injectors, stock motor.

A larger intercooler will help on the street more than the track where you can cool it down between runs.
