Hey John,
Just a suggestion from the gallery: As long as your turbo is brand new, paint the exhaust side with some POR20. It will keep it from rusting to hell. Here's one of mine after nearly two years.

Were do you get the POR20 paint for the exh. Housing?

I have been using Gas grill paint from Home Depot in a spray can, comes in a few colors and holds up unreal.

is it fading real bad for you otto? my black headers almost look gray now after about 2k miles... Are you burning in the paint with heat?

father's day gift

congrats john from one father to another happy fathers day let me know when you and ed hit the track i wanna go hopefully i'll have my slicks by then and yea your not lying about cost of living out here in the bay plus i can give ed his rematch:D:D:D

Looks like you put this new turbo on almost 2 years ago, have you done any changes? What kind of boost on the street? So far I love mine .

Are u sure it's a 3 bolt mount? I just won one of these on eBay for $1000.01 and I don't want to have to change alot of stuff. I called persicion and they said it was 4. I have email the seller 3 times No ansewer. The pics. On eBay does not show it. He has posted 4 pic. But none with a mount shot????

I am sure John's turbo was a 3-bolt buick style turbo. Be careful buying one on e-bay. By the time you get the correct housing, you may not have saved any money over buying one from a Buick vendor. Not to mention the customer support..

Cal is correct.
You can also tell from the first picture and the part number on the turbine. =)

I sold all my race car stuff in the last year.
It was not compatible with the cost of living in the Bay Area
and the quality of life I want for my son.

This turbo goes on my driver, I would love to run in the mid
11s and be able to drive it to work.
I feel you on that one......

I've got the same turbo and painted the exhaust housing and center section with Eastwood high temp, cast iron color rattle can paint. Part #10395z. This was over a year ago and still looks like new with many 500+ HP dyno pulls, and ten second passes. Good stuff...

Those are some nice braided lines. Did you make them?

Thanks.

If your talking about the oil line. I had it custom made at Mesa Hose near my work. Cost about sixty bucks. It's all stainless steal with teflon hose. Fits under the turbo shield too.

If your talking about the water lines, I did those from Russels fittings and hose.

BTW this turbo is for sale.
New, never bolted on anything.
It will come with a RJC 4 inch inlet, water kit and standard actuator.
PM me if interested.
