Buddy of mine passed away in 2011. He had a 3000 mile red and black 1969 super cobra jet in the garage. He bought it new, hurt the motor bad in 1970, and never fixed it! Car was still in the garage on the trailer where it was parked in '70. Brand new Ford Motorsports block / crank / rods / pistons in the boxes ready to go (some day!). His youngest son continues to sit on that incredible car still! It will live again someday. It's a time capsule kept in a heated garage.

Yep, the finds are out there.
I was at pate swap meet around 93 or so and saw a car like the one in the article. Unrestored, but running and driving. Asking price, $7500. Seemed like a lot at the time but looks like a sound investment now.
You should do a little coaxing on the guy's son to put it together to honor his father.
