we ordered three of these this year.

The FXX Programme has been ended, and now the 599XX Programme begins.

You buy the car, and included in that price of 2.1 million - you get support from the Factory. Cars will be flown to the events and crewed by Maranello (Ferrari SpA). You just show up, get in and go.

The 599XX shares the Enzo motor but is slightly detuned to 700 or so BHP.
I think it's odd that SpA chose the number 3 for the exhibition car....but it ain't my money.

That's the exhibition car...no one owns it. So, Ferrari is an Earnhardt fan?

In the third pic the car looks like a cross between a GTR, 350Z, and the front end looks like a Viper. I would prefer a F430. You have an awsome job my friend.

None of those have a front engine 6.0 liter V12 and a F1 Superfast gearbox.
I getcha though....I see it too.

True dat, they also dont carry a 2.1 million dollar price tag either :biggrin:. I like the rear diffuser, ya gotta love CF.

nice real nice

like the car, i thought it kinda looked like a newer verson of a vette or something. bet it doesn't handle like one and sure does cost a vette when you gotta work on it. was watching barretts auction the other day and they had a 89 ferrari and said to work on the engine you had to drop it out the bottom of the car. costs of that was around 20K, i was like yea, wonder how much the mechanic makes on that job?????

Well, a 348 or 355 requires the engine and transaxle to be removed to service the belts.

It takes 51 hours and comes in around $10K per service.

The 360/430 is a different story. Chains are used and hydraulic variators. there's a neat access panel behind the front seats.....but the older cars have a transversely mounted engine.

can't wait til this trend of big ugly plastic rear diffusers is dead and gone.
car is very sexy otherwise!

I find it interesting that Ferrari is going with a F/R layout for this program. This car just screams old school 250 GTO.

As simple as a phone call and a well timed luch break.

You have a pm.

You'll have fun if you get the chance to visit. I did already and had a blast in the resto shop. Dan had just come out of a meeting and was stuck so we didn't get to go eat but it was nice putting a name with the face for a change.
