On my way home from church Saturday night I noticed a new red GTO next to me. I had to look carefully, I thought it was a Dodge Stratus at first.

I honestly don't know what Bob Lutz and the rest of GM are thinking. The car is visually non-distinctive and not that great of a performer based on what I have read.

I wish GM would have gotten off their duff sooner and put a 6.0 version of the LS-1 into a worthy body.

I guess when there is not much choice for a RWD V-8 muscle car the GTO becomes appealing. Hopefully the arrival of the new Mustang and the RWD Hemi powered Mopars will stimulate some intense competition and we'll see a repeat of what took place in the 60's and early 70's.
