LOL. I installed my stock headers almost 2 months ago, stepping up from a hooker setup(for sale by the way). with the hookers, i could floor it, and would have no traction problems till it hit 2nd gear, where it would get sideways and i would have to let off to get some grip. boost was kinda slow to rise, 5 psi in 1st gear, 12 in 2nd, and my max boost of 15 in 3rd and 4th. NOW, i have driven the car around with the stock headers on, just admiring the sound of the turbo for a while, but havent ever gotten it up on boost. none. i have the boost controller turned down to 10 psi, and its not tuned, so i just dont wanna get into it till i know everythign is in check. i had to pull out in front of traffic today, gave it about half throttle, like i coudl with the hookers, but this time, it took off normal and then the next thing i know, the tail end is sliding all over the road and its about to do a 180. i got it back under control easy, but geeze, is this how they all are? its got a posi, with BFG 235/60s on it, and only 10 psi boost, i like the instant boost, but i gotta do somethin about the traction. its got bilstein shocks on it, so the shocks arent shot, just put em on. new tires perhaps? i dont know about you guys, but im not gonna let anyone else drive my car, seems like it could get away from em way to easy, and if it gets away from anyone, i want it to be me.

Looks like it's running like it is supposed to now! ;) Try turning it up to 24 psi with 235/60/15 BFG Radials and report back! :D

I've got a DirectScan file showing my T-Type rear wheels spinning up to 114 mph within a few feet. I thought I was ditching it that night.

ttt4 is the file.

I wouldn't drive my car on regular street tires anymore. I scare myself enough with the nittos. They tend to break loose at around 50mph in the middle of second.

TIREZ??

I don't have that trouble!! Mine's on the other end. goes 12.40's @133!! REAL scary then, the windows pop outside the clips, etc,,,:D :D :D
You can get some 275/50's under there and that would help. along w/ the ideas already posed you would have a much more stable machine!!;) ;)

LOL! that was great.

KEVINS, I have experienced the wet traction issue already. but thats with no boost. no spoolin, its just always bad. cant really get around it. but, since i couldnt correct the problem with the throttle, i decided i would try to master turning while the tires are spinning, i can turn 90 degrees at a stop sign, and go up the road i want, without hardly turning the steering wheel till im pointing where i wanna go. takes a few seconds, but the back just kinda slowly slides around to where i want it, hehe.

guess i just need to get used to this new found power. im gonna go out and buy a sparco seat, 5 point harness, and some gloves, and im gonna strap myself in REALLY tight in that seat, and hang on to the steering wheel nice and hard, and maybe ill feel a bit more secure and in control, lol.

thanks guys, im gonna get some air bags, and some 275/50s. if that doesnt cure it, guess ill just get used to it.
