Got into some bad luck on christmas day (merry christmas to me!:( ). My car slid on a patch of snow and scaped against a bumper of a parked ford ecoline van.

The fords front bumper hooked onto the seam on the lower left side on the passengers side door. From there it tore and pulled off some metal leaving a hole the size of a fist. The inner skin was uneffected though. This is my 1/4 panel area in front of the rear wheel.

Any suggestions before i bring the car into the bodyshop?

A suggestion before you go to the shop

Here's a suggestion to ponder before you take your car to the shop.

Don't drive your car there. Did you not learn the first time, you wrecked your car? Call a ramp truck have it towed to the shop. Do you really want to risk crashing it again? Use your head. These cars suck in winter weather, don't try and fool yourself. Get a winter beater to drive around during these winter months.
