well i havent really posted alot but i want to get more active on this forum. I found out what was wrong with the car. The coil pack was crap I replaced it with the 87 conversion kit and it runs 100% better then it did. I have a long way to go but its starting to come together. Harry

well besides the fact that its ugly do to 20 years of maltreatment the problems are not too bad. My volt light stays on and i dont know why thinking alternator. my electricle system seems kinds funky such as sometimes my astroroof opens sometimes it doesnt. The led lights on the dash work sometimes and sometimes they dont. other then that i need to replace all the vac lines and little stuff like that. As far as the mods go so far i have a red armstrong xp fuel pump w/ hot wire kit, adj. fpr, caspers 93 oct. 16 psi chip, high perf. coil pack (87 conversion), and kenne bell headers with a 2.5 cat back. I am looking to go 12s in the near future but i am planning a full motor overhaul. Harry

Check your grounds and get the alternator tested. You have definately started in the right direction with mods. I wish my car had the astroroof option. Later man, Nick

yeah i really like the astro roof option. It sets the car off alittle better. I was looking into a new block to start rebuilding so i dont have to stop driving the car. Harry

Try removing all of your grounds under the hood around the fenders, bottom front of the motor (where engine harness grounds attach to block) etc. and clean them up with a dremel.

I did this to mine when I frst got it and bettered the headlight brightness and interior lights too. Im sure it had hidden effects as well that I dont know of. I cleaned them and used dielectric grease on the connections after.
