My daughter spilled water on my wife's toshiba laptop. Wasn't a whole lot but was enough to seep into the keyboard area and kill it. Local IT guys say they'd gladly swap any parts out if I find another with the proper good parts. It's only about a year old but it was one of the cheaper ones ($5-600 IIRC). Is it worth the hassle and risk or do I just ebay it as is and buy another? Any good parts avenues besides ebay? Also how do their model numbers go as far as interchangeability? It's an A205-S5804. Am I looking for any A205? I'm sure the screen is good and I'd bet the HD is as well so maybe find one with a broken screen?

Any advice or help is appreciated.

I spilled a cup of water on my old Toshiba A45-S120. It literally poured out of the case when I tipped it sideways. It was only a few months old (one year warranty) so I took it to the local authorized repair center and told them it stopped working. They inspected it, ordered a new mobo/cpu, installed it and apologized for the inconvenience. No cost to me.
