NE1 use the Comp lifter bore grooving tool?
I used it on the ft in the Hemi, and on the last 109 I built. No cam failures on either engine.
The tool puts a groove in the lifter bore, to direct oil onto the cam, b4 it comes in contact w/ the lifter.
Going to do this engine, too. We'll see.

I thought that was more for the Chev lifter bore! I also see they offered a lifter with a lube hole in the end of it? Interested in more info also

Here tis...NOT CHEAP, any more.
I can let you use mine, if needed be. There are replacement parts for them. I've used it on both the Buick and HEMI engines..
I also use the Goodsen bore burnishing tool. It puts the bores to a glass finish, and dead-on dimension.

They're both the .842 bore. I've not seen the lifters w/ the EDM hole in them, for sale, for quite some time.

Didn't on the last 2 engines I've built.
I check the lifter rotation.. looking for at least 1 turn for every 10 crank rotations.
The groove is very narrow, and only .009/.010 deep.
I use the Goodsen ball, too. That greatly improves the fit/finish on the bores.

I use to file a small groove in the bores, but now I only use roller lifters. I will not use flat tappet anymore.
