SignUp Now!i need about 1/8th cut off for clearance the tranny shop said i will only have about 3 or 4 threads left to bolt into? and are worried that i wont be able to keep them tight. if the welds werent so close to the ears i would do that and just install longer bolts and a nut ? do u have any input on the j w flexplates instead of the cat? thanks
i have a cat flywheel and a steel crank the difference i measured was about 0.90 thousands the flange on the crank was 0.35 thicker then the turbo crank flange the rest was the cat sfi flywheel .055 thicker then stock, i made a .100 metal spacer to go in between the block and the trans, my precision converter was tight on the stock setup, good luck
my precision says 0.60 min to .187 maxSo, what should the minimum clearance between the convertor pad(s) and flexplate be .125 or can it be smaller like .060?
Thanks.
for my precision they are the specs im sure dusty will chime inInteresting, .187 is like 3/16", that's bigger than I was expecting. You think that is typical? or specific to your convertor.
Thanks for the reply....
