Im looking to get more muscle car tone out of my GN and these cat back systems are pretty reasonable.

Is there any performance gain?

Does anyone run em here and how do they sound?

If I am going this route should I get new headers and a high flow cat?

Flowmasters are too restrictive. I have Pypes Race pro's with catback and they sound pretty good. Not much drone at all.

Flowmaster specifically designs for naturally aspirated V8s. They are very good in those applications where exhaust pulses leave the engine not a constant flow of exhaust on a turbo car.

Had one on my car when i got it , was not very good, didnt even want to sell it to anybody so i scraped it:D

Shouldn't be an issue, I had Hotchkis uppers on my car before I went with some HR adustable uppers. Hit or miss if you have a HR rear drag bar though. Have had some customers who didn't have a problem getting to fit and others they had to make some adjustments. But control arms shouldn't be a problem. And that is why I recommend using band clamps when installing. Once you tighten up regular style clamps you are stuck with where you have the pipes positioned. Band clamps you can go back and move things around if you need to.

X2. They're actually for low performance V8's that you want to make "sound" good. Think of trying to make a 307 Olds V8 sound like a million bucks. They're what Flowmasters were designed for.

I had a 2 1/2 series dual 40 Flowmaster system for years and hated the sound. Now I went to a used 3" ATR system and love the sound and it's like night and day as far as performance goes. New set of lungs! :-)
