I'm going to use an external tranny cooler in addition to the stock cooler. I want the put the air/tranny cooler after the stock cooler. I'm in the process of doing oil cooler lines as well as many other mods. I forgot to check this before I tore apart the car and now I can't start it until the engine oil cooler lines are done. DOH!

Does the tranny fluid enter the top of the rad cooler and exit the cooler at the bottom, OR does the fluid enter through the bottom line at the rad cooler and exit the top?

Thanks guys!

I believe it enters the rad cooler from the bottom line and exits to return to the tranny from the top, as I have my trans temp sender in the bottom line to measure the temp before getting cooled down.

The diagram is correct, trans cooler placed inline with the top tube which is after the fluid has been thru the radiator. I think what you mean is fluid out of the transmission is the bottom fitting, and fluid into the transmission is the top fitting. My GM truck is also this way as the top tube is the return from the radiator to the transmission...I know this because I left the hose off and started it up and fluid went spewing all over the motor :) On the GN and TTA I used the old trick of starting it up cold and hanging onto the lines to see which gets hot first, it was the bottom line on both.

Yes Rob, From the transmission: fluid out is bottom fitting, fluid in is top...I tired to edit my post to make it easier to understand but I guess I missed my window
Thanks for the clarification - Jimmy
