If i clearly remember and I can quote Bob on this, he asked me to work on this car and change the 5 fu** up you made on his car here let me list them for yah.

1- grannatelli maf that you charged him $400.00 for it
2- 2.3 dinosaur Translater that didn't even list the Grannatelli maf on the choices to pick which MAF to make the Translater work with it.
3- 50 pounds injectors to accommodate a motor capable of over 600fwhp.
4- wrong Chip, of course it was your in it trying to make it work with the Dinosaur Translater you installed in it.
5- a week later the hot wire kit you installed to the new fuel pump was pinched by one of the bolts you used to install the cat back exhaust system causing a short and almost a fire, once again i found it and fixed it, good thing the short didn't happen during one of his runs or he would off granated that motor big time.

You want me to keep going, I will if i have too, Bob spend $900.00 plus on the parts we bought including 72 pound injectors, updated 6.22 translater, extender extreme chip, had the ECU modified to accommodate the bigger injectors, got a 3.5 inch LS1 Maf all from fullthrottle, and we also changed the crappie granatelli you installed., the previous week he could only get a 7.1 at irwindale and a 2.2 sixty with your great combo you had installed in it, the car keep stalling at idle every time you reved it because it was running way to rich you were getting angry because you couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, I took one Look and knew what needed to be changed but didn't want to say anything because got forbid making you look bad in front of people you would kill me or die of embarrassment, next week he went out and Ran a 6.86 with a 1.45 sixty foot at 101mph, go figure I must have been doing everything wrong when I worked on it making the changes I did, you got pissed off because he ask me behind your back to work on his car period.. even and old dog like you can learn new tricks, please be grateful and I was able to help the guy when he ask for it and in the process fixed up all the little Fu** ups you made.. the rest is history the guy knows how to drive his car and he makes it happen not you and not me, end of story.

Let me also list a few things you have copied off my car and implement on all your customers rides

1- HRparts suspension, which after seeing it in my car you installed it on Bobs car, Brents car and Lemans car.
2- alky injection, starting with SMC then Alky control you didnt even know who made them and they were available to public until you saw it my car.
3-RJC Mega cooler after brent saw it in my car went out and bought one to have you install it
4- turbo tweak chip :)
5- LS1 mafs

The list goes on and on I just don't want to continue arguing with someone you who can't accept critizism or willing to accept he makes mistakes, Lou, we are only human learn to accept and you will be in your way to become a better person I have learned a great deal from you over the past few years and I thank you for it, now i can say i have enough knowlegde thanks to you and this board to be able to work on my own car and not depend on you to do everything for me except the dirty work when i dont want to get my hands dirty.. :)

Listen stupid & do do mean stupid! You don't know your history & I'm an early part of it. What you want to do or be I accomplished almost twenty years ago.In 1989 I was already going low 11's with my first street Buick & getting run out of all the local tracks for having no roll bar. In 90 I bought a super stock 81 regal chassis that had already set a bunch of class records. While I was the first to realize that you needed a real race car not some chopped up street car to go fast safely. by 1993 I was running in the mid eights & for a time the fastest V/6 in the nation.First to use motec engine management for drag racing. While people were blowing up their engines using the inferior DFI
system. That HR parts sway bar concept you claim to invented was used in my TT V/8 street car in 99 & if you look under that car ( now Bobs you will still see it )I seem also to recall us using Eric Marshalls chip & 60# Injectors in Brent's car first. It's you who goes around copying anyone who is running good.Translator & LS-1 maf who needs it Brent will kick your ass with his stock Maf & has proved it.You continuously have called me through the years

I need no one & am self made. Hell this whole turbo thing is nothing new at all to me at all. I built & played with turbos since 73 & have magazine articles to to prove it.I don't know what it is you do for a living but I have my suspicions & look forward to the day your arrested & sent away to be someones girl friend. Again stop calling & bothering me I have no use for & never liked you.Your a menace a drifter & a loser.Exactly what do you have to offer & what are you accomplishments so far in your miserable life.Your a disgrace to hard working decent Latinos who enrich this country your just a transplanted thug who needs to go away. In fact unless something is done about your constant slandering of me. I will not re-op as a vendor again. I wish we could all get together & petition the management to rid ourselves of this menace.Together we have the power to do so.

Great Day At The Track

Colder than hell at 7:00 in the morning, but it warmed up into a beautiful racing day until Cal Speedway's unorganized a$$es decided to totally screw up the staging lanes and make people wait in excess of 2 hours for their second runs

Track was hooking good, no head or cross winds, and the air was dense and cool

Cars were breaking all over the place thus adding to the already screwed up staging waits

It was great to see the turnout of both TR drivers and spectators.

Congrats to Nordy & Bob for their great 10 second runs (you bastards)...lol

And it was truly a religious moment (kinda like parting of the red seas) to see Wicked actually run a full 1/4 mile run at the track and get his 11.7 second timeslip on pump gas and methanol

I on the other hand am still searching for the ever elusive 10 second time slip

Practice, practice, practice, tune, tune, tune

When you only get 2 runs, you have to be ready to step it up

My 1st run started great, 10 psi transbrake launch (1.6 60 ft), 7.0 1/8 mile @ 94 mph and then the car started popping and surging and slowing and a quick glance at the tach showed 6300 rpms  and an even quicker look at the shift handle showed my a$$ in 2nd gear, not drive..... I either did not slap the gear shifter hard enough on the trans brake launch to get it to the drive detent position (on launch), or I accidentally pulled the shifter back into 2nd when I was thrown back during the launch........either way that run was shot and I slowed across the lights at 11.7 at 99 mph (23.5 psi boost)

That was ok, The car was fine and the driver was stupid so after a brief cool down in the pits (waiting for Harolds 1st run) I checked the FAST program and found that I was running real rich at WOT, and that my timing map was real low (17 degrees at WOT). I had run race gas with methonol (on at 20 psi) just to get a data log for the 1st run. When i saw I was rich, I pulled the methanol off and bumped the timing map up to 20 degrees timing at WOT(still low - but safe). I put another turn on the wastegate to hopefully get up to 25 lbs of boost, and headed for the staging lanes for what turned out to be the wait from hell. lanes were messed up, track staff was disorganized, Nordy was ready to whip the **** out of some lazy ass drivers who refused to move their cars so we could pull up into the 2 lanes reserved for T&T........major cluster

We finally get up to run our 2nd and last runs and its me paired against Wicked

We both did what looked to be great burnouts and I pulled up to stage

I kept telling myself in my head, 15 psi boost, slap the stick forward.....15 psi launch, slap the stick forward

I started building boost at the line, the staging lights started down, I glanced at the boost gage and saw the boost going past 10psi towards 15 and figured here goes.......and bam everything after that point was fu@ked

The transbrake popped up to the drive detent just as advertised

The car lurched forward, fell on its nose, lurched again and started down the track great

Shift into 2nd gear....no problem

Shift into 3rd gear and the pulling slowed down enough for me to look at the gauges wondering WTF???

Boost was at barely above 20 psi, rpms were climbing (slowly)towards 5600rpms, no popping or sputtering, but no "got you by the balls" pulling either

Cross the lights 11.25 at 117.87 mph

My last run on the car last year was 11.28 at 125.4 mph with a real ****ty 1.960 ft (off footbrake)

I rebuit the tranny & the engine since then so I figured I should be in the high 10's this year

I've hit 6.96 at 100.5 mph in the 1/8 mile (2006) so i thought the 10 second 1/4 mile run was within my grasp

This 2nd run I had a real ****ty 1.7 60 ft (off the transbrake) and while I had a faster 11.25 et I was almost 8 mph slower

I was pissed, but not enough to get back in line for a 3rd run so i just packed it up and came home.

Car ran great all the way home

Checked my datalog of the run after I was at home and found some strange sh*t readings

Datalog of the run showed me at 15 psi (launch) at 5300 rpms. As soon as the transbrake was engaged, my boost went from 15 psi down to - 8 psi and the rpms dropped to 2200 rpms (guess it shows that I was slow to mash the gas pedal to the floor when as I engaged the transbrake) so that explained the lurch and the nose stand after launch

Run from 1st to second (once I got moving again) was clean A/F ratio was 11.5 WOT / boost was 20 psi & climbing (timing was 20 degrees)

2nd to 3rd was fine (A/F was 11.0 WOT / boost was 21 psi, but timing was at 17 degrees)

After the 2/3 shift the A/F ration dropped to 9.5 WOT, my boost slowed to 20.5 psi and the timing dropped to 11 degrees timing  (explains the no balls pull on the top end)

So my 2nd run was doomed from the start

I need to go back over the car and the tune to find out what happened to pull so much timing out on the top end of the run, and what made my A/F to drop into the 9's

Oh well, my saga continues

Sorry for the novel, but i needed to vent. And on top of 2 ****ty runs, cold ass weather, staging lane waits from hell, i get home to find out that the CHARGERS lost their playoff game and ended their great year

Later

Ray

Listen stupid & do do mean stupid! You don't know your history & I'm an early part of it.

You mean ancient history step up and build a 109 that will go in the 9's or 8's and stay together after 10 runs then talk SH**.

What you want to do or be I accomplished almost twenty years ago.In 1989 I was already going low 11's with my first street Buick & getting run out of all the local tracks for having no roll bar. In 90 I bought a super stock 81 regal chassis that had already set a bunch of class records. While people were blowing up their engines using the inferior DFI
system.

I am not interested in ancient history show me what you can do now and earn some respect

That HR parts sway bar concept you claim to invented was used in my TT V/8 street car in 99 & if you look under that car. ( now Bobs you will still see it )

whats it the V8 car is called the woft bar welded to the frame, totally different concept from the HRbarsuspension which btw i never claimed to have invented but the 1st to have it in my car here in the west coast, please get it right.

I seem also to recall us using Eric Marshalls chip & 60# Injectors in Brent's car first. It's you who goes around copying anyone who is running good.

We can pull out receipts and compare dates as to who bought what first that will tell you the truth. ;)

Translator & LS-1 maf who needs it Brent will kick your ass with his stock Maf & has proved it.

could be why is engine is in bits and pieces lmao or is it because he is boost happy

You continuously have called me through the years
& have gotten free advice & help.

I am not denying that, and even thanked you for it.

Whatever it is that you think your superior at you've gotten from my shop.

Not really

You like others also came to me as customers & now everyone's an expert. I now make a living sorting out all the fawk ups from experts like yourself.

I never claimed to be an expert did I?, but thank you for giving me the title. :)

Just because I wasn't involved with this board early on & too busy working. Doesn't mean I wasn't monitoring there's some good people on it & some jackass's like you who don't have a clue & are trying to be self important.

when I came to you back in late 2000 you didn't even have Internet and knew it existed so what are you talking about? LOL

I don't know what it is you do for a living but I have my suspicions & look forward to the day your arrested & sent away to be someones girl friend.

I work smart not hard and if you want to see my W2's and 1099 IRS forms your welcome to them anytime any day.

Again stop calling & bothering me I have no use for & never liked you.

the day when your attitude Improves toward your customers that comes to your shop it will be the day i will start to like you.

Your a menace a drifter & a loser.

thanks uncle Lou, what can i say ima lonely child, You wanna be my friend? ;).

Exactly what do you have to offer & what are you accomplishments so far in your miserable life.

Nothing really but i sure don't want to be a miserable old Bastard like you that's for sure.

Your a disgrace to hard working decent Latinos who enrich this country your just a transplanted thug who needs to go away.

I am sorry where did your parents come from again?

In fact unless something is done about your constant slandering of me. I will not re-op as a vendor again.

I thought you told me you were not going to re-op as a vendor again after you found out who the new owners of this website were, if i recall your opinion of them wasn't a very high one and even called them names, would you like me to quote you on what you said about them? maybe not i will just look like an azz if it did that, keep digging deep pretty soon your going to hit china.

I wish we could all get together & petition the management to rid ourselves of this menace.Together we have the power to do so

Me a menace nahhhh I am harmless, your the menace with all your ranting and going off, please take a mental note to re-do meds with doctor, remember I am not a mechanic and I don't rely on customers to pay my bills you do, the more you keep talking the worst is gonna get for you. now quit your whining and go back under the hood of a Buick where you belong. ;).

Datalog of the run showed me at 15 psi (launch) at 5300 rpms. gotta make sure the foot doesn't slip when your shift your focus to engaging the T-Brake. these types of stories scare me away from t-brakes, you guys are right that you DO have to worry about alot when stagging. Especially with an FAST and a T-Brake.
Bare with my stupid questions and statements im a FAST newbie.
2nd to 3rd was fine (A/F was 11.0 WOT / boost was 21 psi, but timing was at 17 degrees).
make sure your ecu is in closed loop mode, and the o2 sensor is workin right.

I imagin that the timing was being takin away because the ecu wanted to correct the A/F. Was there any correction being applied at this point? But there had to have been correction if the A/F target was set for 11.5 right, was it adding or taking away fuel in order to bring the A/F back up to 11.5 or was it also taking out some timing?

After the 2/3 shift the A/F ration dropped to 9.5 WOT, my boost slowed to 20.5 psi and the timing dropped to 11 degrees timing  (explains the no balls pull on the top end).
im reading into this right now as well, see if I can find anything about it but, you can check in reference the SPARK ADVANCE VS RPM & MAP. While in online mode, speed density mode; The Spark(*BTDC) numbers in the "dashbord" show the actual spark table values, BUT ALSO include any changes to IGNITION timing from an active knock sensor input or from timing trim. If the valves in the dashbord dont match the values on the cell tables the difference could be 1.) because the egine is off its idleing target speed causing the ecu to use timing trim to correct it. 2.) crank reference angle is off, and ecu wont allow timing set in the table. straight from the dvd, DAM this FAST DVD is tight!

the last thing off the top of my head i can think of is make sure to see if any AFTERSTART enrichment fuel is NOT still being applied, during your burnouts and runs. Make sure that the AFT CORE % is at 0, and the ENGINE decay also allows for a 0 setting. In the CLOSED LOOP PARAMETERS, what is the proper MAX CLOSED LOOP STEP(%)? The dvd says 9% but im not sure what a typical buick would run. But ill keep looking and im reading into this. Other then that, I would love to meet up with you and Mike at Irwindale when you guys go next, I wanna learn this fast stuff badly!

does any of that sound right? Darkside
