What kind of differences did you notice? Was it worth the extra money?

I went from an ATR bar to the new HR parts bar, and it was a VERY good move. Car handles much better now and the HR bar fits much better. I can actually take corners pretty fast, and it actually hooks on the street. I wrinkled the sidewalls on a set of BFG drag radials with 30 psi in them with a 5 lb. launch on cold concrete on the street! Its never hooked on the street before, even on slicks. Do it, you will not be sorry!

MUCH better handling.
For me, it was WELL worth it.

The lower link type bars, tend to bind the suspension with any amount of roll, the HR don't have any of that since it's independent of the lower links.

i'm interested too, not in cornering but some 60 ft improvements. its a big jump in price from atr and fills in between the atr bar and wolfe bar. lets not post how it "feels" but some track 60 ft time improvements over the atr bar.

Well, let me put it like this: It hooks better now on the street than it did on the stock suspension at the track! My previous best 60' was a 1.75, and mostly 1.8's. No doubt it hooks better now. That was the main reason I did it, not for cornering but for traction. The handling was just a bonus.

H&R bar...

I went from an ATR sway bar to a H&R bar and never regretted it! When I put the ATR bar, it made the suspension squeak, damage the lower control arms...What a piece of s**t !!! :mad:I removed it after one week only! It also killed my 60ft. times at the track...I haven't been to the track with the H&R bar yet, but it makes my car handle great, does not squeak, and doesn't crush the lower control arms :D...a much nicer piece!!!
Claude :)

Rob, are you speaking of the h&r bar or the atr...or both!? i agree the wolfe bar is the best for a race car.

The HR parts bar on my GN fit great with the ATR crossflow system, don't know about the single shot.

I like the ATR bar for handling but I think the HR bar will out 60ft. it, time will tell when car #2 goes to the track.

Mine are on two different cars both with Nittos out back and Michelin Pilots up front for street duty. Hoosier QTP's DOT for the track.

Can't say I've done much drifting in either car but I think the ATR bar feels more stable while cornering.

GN has the HR lower arms, other car has HR box kit, same bushings HR on both cars.

No squeaking at all with my ATR bar luckily. :)

Night and day difference and worth upgrading?

Doubt it, but the HR bar looks more impressive for sure, really depends on your goals.

Just my .02, I need more seat time with both setups, both have only been on each car about 8 months now.

allright someone step up and do a comparison! easily swapped at the track....preferbly on a sub 11 sec car. i dont want to be shelving out 500.00 for a bar thats not gonna make my 60fts alot better.

If you think your car handles good with an ATR bar, try the HR bar and see what you're missing. I felt from the moment I put the ATR bar on that the car was very out of control, it always felt like it was getting loose and sideways, even when just barely moving. I was actually scared to take it down the track! I figured if it was this unstable feeling at low speed how was it going to be at 120+ mph!? The HR bar really feels much better and the car is much more predictable. I think driving it is going to be very easy now.

Its not comparing apples to apples anyway. The ATR is just a big ass swaybar. Stock location. The HR bar is a system, and it has actual research and developement behind it. It mounts to the body, and really straightens the car out.

So what would guarantee your car would respond the same as the test vehicle?.

If your that worried about it, and the car is that fast, I'd say go with a Wolfe. Then there's no one to blame if things don't go as expected.

BTW, I've seen a car with a before and after on a Wolfe, and with the before the car launched anyway of 3 different directions and with the Wolfe went straight as an arrow. No change in 60' times, as I recall. In his case the Wolfe didn't improve the 60' times, but it sure was alot less nerveracking to watch, and I'd imagine to drive.

GOING TO WOLF BAR

ROB

Care to elaborate? What is your complete suspension set-up? How did you come to the conclusion the bar does not work?

I have one, and it eliminated body roll completely. No test on how well the car hooks yet, but that will be coming soon. I welded the axle clamps to the axle tubes to insure there was no movement.

I have the ATR bar on my car with stock suspension and no front swaybar. Handles sweet, doesn't rattle and launches well. With a completely stock rear end and the ATR bar I run consistant 1.48 sixty foots off the foot brake with my 200R4. I recently purchased Bennet adjustable uppers and the Wolfe single bar because some times on the street when I kick it down I get a speed wobble on the top end(not every time, but once in a while). Wolfe says his bar will illimunate that and sixty foot better with no sacrifice to my daily drivability. So we will see when I put them on how it go's. The bars (H&R, Wolfe & ATR) are just one piece to the puzzle provided your body bushings, shocks, springs, tires and airbags( set to the correct psi) in some cases are all good.
If my Wolfe bar pans out, I will be selling my ATR swaybar.

Yes it is. I called Wolfe and asked him that before I bought the bar. I don't own any race cars and don't plan on it anytime soon. He said it works great on the street. The only modification I would have to do is redirect my 3" exhaust over the dif. Probably 1 to 2" left or right . But he said he will work with a 3" exhaust with some minor tweaks.
