How do you cut the front side window tint smoothly around the edges? The other windows I can do but the trimming of the edges gives me a problem where the window ends. Thanks.
Dont leave any square or rough edges.
Best thing to do is to curve the edges at the window corner points.
If you are talking about cutting the top line, have a friend hold a straightedge or yardstick, and use that as a guide to cut a good line.
Go watch a place where they put the stuff on for a living. Usually they put it on the out side and use the top of the window as the guide. Then when they put it on the inside they just move it down a 1/16 or 1/8 in. Better yet, let them do it.
hold razorblade between thumd and index finger letting index finger stick out about 1/2 inch further run index along the top of glass and the blade should cut about 1 16th of an inch off the top perfect eveytime I have done 8 or 9 cars though.
I build model airplanes and have this tool. Have used it for cutting edges when doing window tinting...works great. Beats haveing someone hold a straight edge too.
