I know this is way off, I have a Ford E150 97' van I am having brake problems, usually just after a cold start up. Has I back out my drive way and use my brakes at the end of the driveway they feel real soft with no stopping power. If I pump once the braking power comes back. Truck also has abs brakes. Its this a bad power brake booster.

My first thoughts would to be make sure you don't have a caliper hanging and wearing your pads on a bevel (a common problem on the Ford calipers on the E's). Also check to see how the rear brake adjustment is. Second, you may have the beginings of master that is starting to go out.

Thanks for the help

Well you were right the Ford had a bad left front caliber, replaced it and the rotor also the right side pads, now it stops like a new one.
Also the Brake booster seems to be normal again.
Thanks for your help
