Forward clutch/drum

I noticed that the forward clutch/drum that I removed from my trans has a check valve retainer and ball assembly, but the one I'm replacing it with does NOT have the check ball assembly!!! Have I got a problem????

some people says yes ,i say no.the forward clutch will exhaust as soon as the shifter is moved from any of the drive ranges and it wont drag and burn either.ive tried it already
