Hey guys before this thing goes together, what the proper order for the forward drum clutch? I have the aluminum piston.

Chris's book says if aluminum, use wave then put a steel on top of wave then alternate etc. (4 steels, 4 frictions with friction at the top)

However when I got my drum back from Chris, he put a friction on top of the wave then alternate (3 steels, 4 frictions with friction at the top)

Not doubting Chris, I just want to make sure thats right because that would be a silly mistake.

Either way is correct. You can also stack the aluminum piston drums as wave plate, clutch, steel, clutch, steel, clutch, steel, clutch, then another wave plate on the top. Just as long as your clearence is correct it will be fine. The wave plates main purpose is to keep the transmission from banging when you initially shift into drive.
