Forza 3 Players...

I've been wanting to do up a Heath Elmer look-alike GNX for one of my Forza GNXs. So tonight I decided to take a little time and make one...

Since my internet connection is jacked up for some reason, I couldn't upload the pics from my X-Box, so I used my iPhone and took some pics of my TV. LOL! Overall, for a video game design program, it turned out decent. If anybody wants the design, it's in my storefront.

**EDIT** For some reason, the lower portion of the car looks white. Not sure why, but it is silver.

I bought Forza 3 for my kids and I can't get the second disc that has the GN on it to load... Any tips on how to get that thing to load?

I will say, it takes a while. You have to go to the "Pant" section first. The go to "Apply Decals". From there it gets more time consuming. First choose which area of the car you want to cover. Then click "Apply Shapes". Next, decide which shape you want to use. I usually go with the square. At that point, you decide what color you want to use. Then start adjusting location of graphic, size, angle, etc. until you have it where you want it. It takes a while to do and there are a lot of layers involved in making it look somewhat right. On the left side of the GNX, I used 52 layers total.

Now if you want to save a lot of time and you're on XBox Live, go to the "Storefront". Click on "Buy Designs". Once there, scroll down to "manual keyword" and press "X". Type in "GNX" then do a search. This will list all the available designs on the storefront for GNXs. Look for the designs with "Buick GNX Heath Elmer 2 Tone" in the title. I have two of them up at the moment. From there, you can just click and download. And if you have a specific color combo you want, PM me and I will load it.

How big is the hard drive on your XBox? If you just insert the 2nd disc into the machine, it should auto load unless you're running low on hard drive space. If you have the newer black XBox (Elite), you should have plenty of room unless you & the kids have a LOT of games already loaded.

Very cool! It's a lot of fun. Kinda hard to do, though. Simple 2-tone paint jobs can be a pain in the @$$ if you actually follow a body line on the vehicle. But it is still fun to play with.

On a second note I have'nt even played Forza 2 long enough to get the GNX, so I doubt Forza 3 will be in the cards anytime soon.

Did you ever get the 2nd disc to load? I don't think you can get to it without that disc content installed.

Go to the "cars" section, then click "buy cars". Scroll to the right and see if the Buick logo appears. If so, the GNX is in there.

If you are out of hard drive room, you might look into getting a bigger HD for your console.
