Hey guys, i finally got around to removing the cone filter to take a peek inside. I was greeted by a small puddle of oil in the mouth of the cone (motor oil, not K&N oil). Is this due to blowby? Or whats going on here and is there any solution. I guess what im wondering is if this is common or not.

Thanks guys - Evan

PS.. the motor is bone stock. Just ordered a 340 and hotwire kit.

hey

do u still have the breather hooked up to the inlet pipe. u know the one that goes from the oil filler neck to the inlet pipe right before the throttle body?

Two common causes for that are as follows. A plugged PCV valve causing oil to be blown out of the breather into the air filter. Or it would have to be a massive turbo oil leak, but you'd probably notice alot of blue smoke coming out of the exhaust if it was the turbo. I'd replace the PCV valve and change the air filter, then wait and see if the problem is still there.
