found some weird jumpered connector under my dash

i was replacing my brake switch and i noticed what looks kind of like a factory connector. its two piece, the black piece has a brown and a blue wire going into it, thats connected to a clearish white connector that has what looks like a small resistor jumpered to it. the blue wire from the black connector goes to another black connector with blue, green, pink and yellow wires. this is in the area of the front and to the leftish of the fuse box. its an '87 GN

That sounds like the diode for the anti-theft. Does your car have the UA6 factory anti theft?

Yeah I have the same thing. Its a diode. Real half assed way to wire a car from the factory.
