When I got a set of FelPro Performance 1600 valve cover gaskets that were "wrong" this past summer, I figured it was a fluke. BTW, the 1600s are the thicker gaskets, not the FelPro VS50156C set.

I picked up two sets of the 1600s today that I had ordered. One was right and one was wrong again. By wrong I mean they do not have one of the sides (including the bends) narrower than the other side to match up with stock-style valve covers. This time, I'm going to look into the matter unless someone here can explain. The packaging and P/Ns are the same. I really don't want to have to carve the wrong ones to fit so they're going back. I hope this doesn't represent discontinuation of the correct version.

That's how these were. In one set, both were wrong, the other set both were right. Pretty weird, I wonder what they "think" they're doing this for. Time to get out the X-acto blade.

Have you tried those newer ones, the ones with like dual o-rings and a steel core? I like 'em with the flat GN1 heads rail, and they're reusable.

No, I've been happy with the 1600s until now.

P/N?

Hmm, should be FP 50156T. I think you'll like 'em! They have travel limiters built in to keep from over tightening too.
