I've got the Kirban bar. It is heavy stock and very well made.

I recently saw a YouTube vid of someones TR the vid had a tour underneath that showed some sort of cross brace. It looked horrible. Square stock pieces welded together.

Then we have the Freightshaker grab handle. .. We have one of those at work, along with about 30 Internationals.

My guess is that grab handle has nowhere near the strength and rigidity as the beefy Kirban bar. I know if I put the Kirban bar in a vice and try to bend it,it's not gonna bend. I'll have to see if the shop has one of those grab handles.

Soooo... When do ya want to put one on my car??? We can trade or barter.. Great idea!!!

I thought you were going for the stock GNX look. I don't recall a GNX having one of these.

Let me know how it turns out. It'd be nice to here some real world testing. I'd think for the application it's being used for it's strong enough to keep rigidity between the front frame horns. That and for the money it costs it's already better than having nothing there like the car came from the factory. To me personally it's a $60 difference that can be spent elsewhere.

I'm plannin to get some pics with the jounce bars but it's too cold to lay on a concrete garage floor at the moment.

Did you ever get any pics of this bar installed? Interested to see it. Then I can talk to my friend who is an International salesman toget me onw.

I posted pics of it installed up top. I had it installed for about a day then removed it because I went with a FMIC where the clearance was too tight for it. I have it sittin in the basement til I sell it so I can't get you anymore installed pics other than whats there. I can say it does fit very nice tho.

hello; Just to clarify. I have the 3 pcs. brace set up. The two that go front to back of the car 1 pc does not fit with the SLIC. The pc that goes left to right does fit with the SLIC. I believe the pcs are sold as 1 pr (pcs going front to back) and the L/R as another.

So is it for sale? It doesn't interfere with a slic?

That is correct. I had every intention on using it and had it mounted with my SLIC and had no problems but picked up a FMIC setup cheap so before even driving the car with it on it came back off and it sits in my basement brand new only mounted and removed. The Stock Grand Prix brace and the Kirban aftermarket brace bend in toward the engine at a 45* before straightening thats why they can have problems interfering with IC's where as this one swoops down directly under the core support instead of next to ir so it gives the shroud more room to fit. The last pic I posted in the first post is the bar installed with the IC and you can't make it out well but thats the middle of the bar with the IC shroud behind it.
