Did one on a friends GN a few months ago...and if the steel wasn't leftover from my chevelle frame, it probably would have been around $100.00 or less if you are doing it yourself. I took a few ideas from some experts on here, made what worked for me. Used 1/8" sheet and basically made a double wall where I cut out on top of leaving the factory back plate. Ran a thick walled 1 1/4" tube from one side of the car to the other. Might be able to find pics if you want them, PM me. Sheet of steel cost me about $50., tube cost $10., wire wheel-$5., spool of welding wire $20, spray paint and zinc primer, $15. Roughly...

mine cost 400.00 bucks at a shop but that was only the notching i still have to get my tubs put in

500 was my price as well. Very happy and I also got a frame brace welded in the rear from one side to the other.
