Did a search but did not find anything

I just installed a lock up converter back in my car w/ a manuel locking switch.

The convereter locks and unlock with a flick of the switch as long as it is done without much delay between the lock and unlock. If I lock the converter and drive a few miles, the switch will not unlock the converter. After the switch is flipped to unlock it takes about 2-2.5 min. before it will unlock?????

This was tested repeatedly over a 60 mile trip. What gives???

As long as the switch is flipped back and forth without much delay(traveling less than 1/2 mile) it will unlock and relock fine?

help please...I'd hate to do something unnecesary, but also spend too much time messing with the wrong thing.

I'm going to venture to say that your solenoid is sticking. Leaving it on longer periods of time will heat it up and make the problem more prevalent. It's easy to change and given the 200-4R solenoid's track record, there's a good chance that'll solve it.
