Friend broke an axle.. Video

My buddy has a '69 Nova 4dr that has a 350 edelbrock heads, 4.11 gears, blah, blah. It runs 13.0 on motor, and has gone 12.3 on a 100 shot. So we took it to the track and made a pass, everything was good went 12.3 at 112. Then we upped the shot to 150. You can see the rest in the video. Just thought I would share

was that gas leaking out the back? Good to see he's Ok, and it didn't go up like that poor fellow's Z06 did.

Yes that was gas, the axle put a hole in the tank..

Yah, that had potential to be a Car-b-que. It looks like he went around and hit the kill switch.

The bad things going thru your head when you hear all that carnage, the car stops going forward and your back wheel just passes by your door.

Ya he was lucky for sure. It could have caught fire, or he could have hit the other car. It was probably the best outcome for the situation.
